Stephen A. Smith Believes Former NFL Standout Antonio Brown Is Suffering From CTE
Stephen A. Smith believes there may be a clear reason behind #AntonioBrown’s strange behavior.
Appearing on Fat Joe and Jadakiss’ Joe and Jada podcast, the sports and political commentator suggested that Brown may have developed #CTE after being tackled by #VontazeBurfict during a 2016 game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals. “Personally, I think that’s what Antonio Brown is going through,” Smith said while discussing CTE. “That’s why he got arrested in Dubai. He hasn’t been the same since that hit with Vontaze Burfict when he was a Pittsburgh Steeler. His whole body seized up like Rigamortis.”
Smith also referenced Brown’s time with the Raiders, recalling the moment he believed things began spiraling. “Remember when he was on the Raiders? I said, ‘Ladies and gentlemen, it’s Thursday. They got a Monday Night Football game. All he has to do is play and shut the f*ck up, and by Tuesday afternoon, he’s guaranteed 29 million,’” Smith continued. “He opened his mouth anyway, and they cut him before Tuesday.”
Earlier this month, Brown was extradited to the U.S. from Dubai on an attempted m*rder charge. He pleaded not guilty and was granted house arrest after posting bond. He’s accused of allegedly firing two sh*ts at a man following an argument outside a celebrity boxing match. Unfortunately, this is just the latest in a growing series of legal issues and run-ins with police that have followed the former NFL star.
