UFC Fighter Sean Strickland Calls Bad Bunny A ‘F*gg*t’& ‘Gay Foreigner’ In Homophobic Rant Over Super Bowl Halftime Show
Some people are still upset over Bad Bunny’s halftime performance.
UFC fighter Sean Strickland sparked widespread controversy on Wednesday at the Paramount+ and UFC Media Day event while promoting his upcoming fight with Anthony Hernandez. During his remarks, Strickland launched into a tirade that included sexist and homophobic comments, notably calling #BadBunny several slurs and criticizing women in sports. “I don’t even want to say that f*gg*t’s name,” Strickland said before continuing. “The halftime show guy…It’s so crazy that this is America now. Back in the day, the NFL was the f*cking standard of being a f*cking man.” According to Strickland, the higher-ups of the league are now more focused on “gaying up” the sport, which is why they selected a “gay foreigner” to headline Super Bowl LIX.
His commentary didn’t end there. Strickland also addressed the upcoming fight between #RondaRousey and Gina Carano: “Ronda Rousey can fight… I think she lost a few fights to her ex, but b*tch can fight.” He added disparagingly about Carano, “I like Gina. She’s like super conservative. She was hot, you know. I was like a kid when she fought. I may have jerked off to her once or twice back in the day.” Strickland also declared, “no one gives a f*ck about women’s sports,” before insisting “there’s nothing wrong with women” and that they “do great things. They cook, they clean.” #SeanStrickland has yet to directly respond to the backlash, but he did reshare a post to his IG Story arguing he spoke “facts” during the press conference.
