The Gwinnett Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office has decided not to press charges in the August 8, 2025, de@th of #Atlanta rapper Tevin Hood, known professionally as #THood.
District Attorney Patsy Austin?Gatson said her team conducted an independent review of the police investigation and the relevant law, concluding there was “no cause to prosecute the shooting de@th.” She added that her office has also met with Hood’s family and offered “condolences again for their loss.”
#Gwinnett County police had previously determined the shooting was an act of self?defense and opted not to press charges. With both the police and the D.A. concluding their investigations, the case is now considered closed.
