NBA Star Draymond Green Defends Atlanta Hawks’ ‘Magic City Monday’ + Says Adult Entertainment Is ‘Actually An Art’

Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green is weighing in on the debate surrounding the Atlanta Hawks’ upcoming “Magic City Monday” promotion.

The event, scheduled for March 16, celebrates Atlanta’s well-known adult entertainment venue Magic City. However, San Antonio Spurs center Luke Kornet criticized the collaboration, arguing that the NBA should “desire to protect and esteem women” and suggesting the partnership could make the league “complicit in the potential objectification and mistreatment of women in our society.”

Speaking on “The Draymond Green Show,” Green said he strongly disagrees with Kornet’s stance.

“I think to point out that they have esteem issues because that’s the line of work they chose, I actually think is less protective of women because you’re condemning something – it’s actually an art,” Green said.

He continued, “But to say that because a woman decides that that’s the art that they want to partake in and that the customer wants to take in, I think is reflective on society’s thoughts and how they once view things.”

Green also referenced Cardi B’s background to support his argument.

“[Cardi B is] selling out stadiums and her background would be that,” he said. “I don’t think Cardi B has esteem issues.”

He added, “I respect how Luke Kornet feels… but I disagree with them wholeheartedly.”
