Savannah Guthrie Visits “Today” Studio For First Time Since Mom Nancy Went Missing
Savannah Guthrie made a brief visit to the set of NBC’s Today show, marking her first time back at the studio since her mother, Nancy, disappeared more than a month ago.
The longtime co-anchor stopped by the New York studio on Thursday (Mar. 5) to see colleagues and thank staff members for their support. At this time, it’s unclear if an interview was conducted during the visit. An NBC News spokesperson addressed the drop by to The Hollywood Reporter, saying, “While she plans to return to the show on air, she remains focused right now supporting her family and working to help bring Nancy home.”
84-year-old #NancyGuthrie was last seen on January 31 by a family member who dropped her off at her home near Tucson, Arizona. She was reported missing the following day after failing to show up for a church service. Savannah and her family have since increased the reward for information leading to Nancy’s return to $1 million.
“We also know that she may be lost. She may already be gone,” Savannah said in the video announcing the family reward. “She may have already gone home to the Lord that she loves and is dancing in heaven with her mom and her dad, with her beloved brother, Pierce, and with our daddy.”
