Tiger Woods NOT Competing In Masters Golf Tournament After Car Crash & Arrest On DUI Charges
#TigerWoods will not compete at the 2026 Masters Tournament following a recent car crash in Jupiter Island, Florida, that resulted in his arrest on DUI charges.
Tournament organizers confirmed the news, stating, “Although Tiger will not be joining us in person next week, his presence will be felt here in Augusta.”
Confirmation of his absence may come as no surprise, as Woods said Tuesday that he is “stepping away for a period of time to seek treatment and focus on my health.” He added, “I know and understand the seriousness of the situation I find myself in today,” and emphasized his commitment to returning “healthier, stronger, and more focused.”
According to reports, deputies found two hydrocodone pills in Woods’ pocket during the crash investigation and noted signs of impairment, including “bloodshot and glassy” eyes and “extremely dilated” pupils. Woods has pleaded not guilty and requested a jury trial as the case moves forward.
