Big Meech Pokes Fun At Inaccuracies In “BMF” Series, Says They Can’t Do Everything Perfect’
#BigMeech is ready to tell his own story.
The co-founder of the disbanded dr*g trafficking and money laundering organization Black Mafia Family (BMF) recently sat down with The Morning Hustle radio show and poked fun at inaccuracies in the Starz crime drama #BMF, which is based on his life. Big Meech shared that he’s had conversations with his son, Demetrius “#LilMeech” Flenory Jr., who portrays him on the series, about small details the show has gotten wrong, like shoe-styling choices, adding, “That’s not the D-boy way.”
He explained that he understands some elements will naturally be changed when adapting a real-life story for television, noting, “They can’t do everything perfect.” Big Meech went on to say he wishes he could tell the story exactly as it happened in the ’80s, but worries people might interpret it as him trying to “glorify that era” of his life. “I’m highly critical of how you play me,” he added, before revealing he has upcoming projects in the works to finally tell his story his way.
