Kim Kardashian Admits Co-Parenting Is Better w/ Kanye West Because They Rarely Speak: ‘It’s Been Pretty Smooth’

Kim Kardashian says the secret to keeping things peaceful with her ex-husband, Kanye West, might be something as simple as barely speaking to each other.

The reality star recently opened up about their co-parenting relationship, revealing that limiting communication has helped them maintain a surprisingly cordial dynamic despite years of public disagreements.

“It’s been pretty smooth for a while. I guess because we don’t talk that much. But when we see each other, we give each other a hug,” Kardashian shared in excerpts from the book “Citizen Kim: The Woman Who Created the Future.”

The former couple, who finalized their divorce in 2022, share four children: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.

Rather than communicating directly about every parenting matter, Kardashian reportedly handles much of the scheduling and logistical arrangements through West’s wife, Bianca Censori, or his management team.

However, keeping her distance doesn’t mean Kardashian has completely shut West out of their family life.

She reportedly maintains an open-door policy, inviting the rapper over for family dinners and even offering to leave her home so he can spend quality time with their children.

Kardashian also admitted that she worries about West “all day, all the time,” despite their complicated history.

When their children question their father’s whereabouts, she sometimes tells them “Dad’s traveling” to avoid exposing them to adult issues.

“I do everything in my power to forget about all the negative things that happened… I want them to think their dad is the greatest,” she explained.

Parents, what’s your key to healthy co-parenting?
