The Women in Entertainment Empowerment Network (WEEN) held auditions in New York for its one-of-a-kind Summer Academy for young women interested in pursuing careers in entertainment. Led by WEEN’s founder, Valeisha Butterfield, the WEEN Academy takes place this summer and is a six-week crash course in entertainment business. The course is taught by celebrities and after the course ends, participants are guaranteed an internship, a WEEN Mentor for a year and lifetime WEEN certification.
