Drake and Playboy Kiss & Make-Up, Lawsuit Dismissed
Initially, Playboy Enterprises filed a lawsuit claiming that Drake’s song, “Best I Ever Had” was sampled from a song that Hugh Heffner had released called “Fallin’ In Love” back in the 70’s. The copyright lawsuit was dismissed on May 12, without costs. Although dismissed, U.S. District Judge Margaret M. Morrow said that the parties could petition to re-open the case within 65 days if the settlement was not consummated. Source
