Drake Shows Love to Kreayshawn, “That’s my dog.”

Columbia Records has given music fans a new face to talk about. Their new signed artist, Kreayshawn, has become a topic of controversy since her self-directed video for her song “Gucci Gucci” went viral in May. If you don’t recall her, she’s the 21 year old, Caucasian rapper and video director, from California who likes to use the word “n*gger.” Besides trying to figure out where the hell she got that name from, people are also confused about her use of the n-word. And although some folks are uncomfortable with her dropping the “n” bomb, so of us aren’t. Matter of fact, Drake has a different take.

On July 18th, Kreayshawn was on Sirius Satellite’s “Invasion Radio” show to talk with host DJ Green Lantern. While she was there, Drake called in to announce his support for her. He said…
“I get excited when new things happen in Hip Hop. And when I heard “Gucci Gucci” and I heard the flows, I was excited before I even knew who she was. The energy that she has is great, man. She’s good peoples. That’s my Dog.”
Drake, who is currently working on his album “Take Care,” also said that he would like to do a collaboration with Kreayshawn. “Anytime she’s ready. I got bars on deck for that.” Maybe a collabo with the two will help us figure out whether we like her…or not.
