Amber Rose Had Difficulty Playing A Butch Lesbian & Is Taking Music Serious

In a recent BET Spotlight, model and newly titled actress, Amber Rose talks her work-load. Rose has two movies in the works “Just Add Water” and “Gang of Roses”, where she plays a top security on a space ship and a butch lesbian bounty hunter respectively. She admits that her role in Gang of Roses was out of her comfort zone. Rose explains,
“I’m also a butch lesbian [in the movie]…it was actually a really hard role, I’m naturally feminine in my mannerisms. I hung out with Wiz and the boys and you know just studying how the move, how they sit, their voice. I literally walked around the house all day just talking like a guy…all day.”
She is also designing a capsule collection for Members Only which include a series of winter coats, furs, wool, leather, capes and hoods. In addition to acting and designing, Rose also confirms that she’s serious about music. She explains the variety in her music sounds and inspirations as,
“Club, house music, upbeat, my inspirations are Missy Elliot of course, Pitbull, Fergie..the way Fergie raps is really cute, really dope…I’m in the studio every single day….When I get into the studio, I’m Sasha Fierce.”
She also credits her boyfriend Wiz Khalifa as part of her inspiration to pursue her love for music. Inspired enough that she hopes to drop some music soon so her fans can get a feel of her sound. Peep the full clip.
