Conflicting Reports on Whitney Houston’s Death + Concerns for Bobbi Kristina’s Mental Well-Being Increase

It’s Monday and reality is still sinking in on the tragic loss of Whitney Houston. We’ve been following reports, concerning what may have lead to Houston’s sudden death, at the age of 48, and reports share that a combination of the anti-depressant Xanix, other drugs, alcohol and an alleged accidental drowning may have caused the singer’s early death. Early Monday morning, TMZ confirmed the combination of drugs and alcohol were the cause and NOT the actual drowning. Apparently, officials from the L.A. Coroner’s office informed the family there was not enough water in Houston‘s lungs to lead to the conclusion that she drowned. According to TMZ’s source, the family was told that Houston may have died before her head even became submerged under water.

TMZ also confirmed who in fact found Whitney‘s body,

It was actually Whitney’s aunt, Mary Jones, who discovered Whitney’s body in the bathtub. Mary had laid out Whitney’s dress for the evening on the bed and then left for about a half hour. When Whitney didn’t come out of the bathroom, Mary entered, pulled Whitney out of the tub and began administering CPR.

As for what the family plans to do with the body,

Whitney’s mom has arranged to have the singer’s body flown back to Atlanta, as early as tomorrow. The family was told the Coroner has no problem releasing the body because there is no evidence of foul play —  and unless cops put a hold on the body, it can be flown back East.

To make matters even more interesting, it’s come out that Bobbi Kristina suffered a very similar incident the day before her mother passed away.  TMZ reports Bobbi Kristina fell asleep in a bathtub in the exact same hotel.  Her friends tried knocking on her door Friday night but after no answer from Bobbi, her friends called security to get them in the room and help them get Bobbi out of the tub.  While this incident did not occur in the same tub Whitney died in, it happened on the same floor and the room was booked in Houston‘s name. According to family members, Bobbi Kristina is taking her mother’s death very hard, having been hospitalized twice since Saturday night.  The family now fears that she’s suicidal.  The family has described her as “hysterical, exhausted and inconsolable.” Close relatives believe she might try to take her own life and the family is considering seeking counseling or even rehab for Bobbi Kristina. Please keep the Houston’s and the Brown’s in your prayers, as they navigate through this difficult time.
