Pilar Sanders Charged With Assault, Deion Sanders Gets Custody Of Kids

Way back in December the divorce proceedings between Deion and Pilar Sanders began. But things have become uglier and uglier over the last few months, between the two. Late last month, things took an ugly turn when Deion alleged that Pilar and her friend jumped him in front of their children. Deion reported that he was in the kitchen when Pilar popped up and began slapping him. Deion picked her up and carried her outside the bedroom, where Pilar’s friend jumped in and began hitting him as well. After three days of court hearings, Pilar has finally been found guilty of assaulting Deion. The judge ruled that there are no signs of abuse on Pilar’s body, just evidence of Deion trying to protect himself from her attack. As a result, Pilar will have to pay a fine for the simple assault, but, more importantly, she has been banned from the Sanders’ Texas mansion, and ordered to stay at least 500 yards away from the home.

Up to this point, Pilar had still been living in Deion’s house, although they were dwelling in separate sections. For the time being, Deion has been granted full custody of their kids. But this custody deal may change once the full divorce case plays out. For now, the judge has just demanded that the children attend therapy in order to recover from their complicated family situation. Indeed, this divorce has become quite nasty, which is unfortunate for all of the parties involved. Hopefully things will calm down from this point on, for the sake of their children.
