[Video] Keyshia Cole Talks Rumored K.Michelle Beef, Frankie’s Rehab Stint + Channeling Pain on New Album

Friday morning, singer Keyshia Cole stopped by Power 105’s Breakfast Club. Bringing her NBA baller husband (Booby Gibson) along, Keyshia was making her promo rounds for her upcoming album (Woman to Woman) and show (Keyshia Cole: Family First), while discussing rumors about alleged beef with K.Michelle and her mother Frankie’s drug addiction. Peep a few excerpts.
On why she decided against recording while pregnant:
I don’t think anyone should try to record while they’re pregnant. I just think it’s bad.
On why her last album didn’t sell as many records as expected:
I was lot more happy and content w/ my happiness. Now I am channeling the pain.
On Frankie’s (her mother) current condition:
She’s been in rehab for four months. I’m really excited about that. I’m really saddened that my other sisters haven’t ‘been able to be around her, while she’s sober. We’re contstantly working on it…Imma make sure she’s straight.
On if Frankie will be on Keyshia’s new reality show:
She’s in a couple of episodes.
On if there’s any beef between her and K.Michelle and the comparisons between the two artists:
We’re good. Mary was that for me. Whoever comes after K. it’s gon’ be all G. I’ve already done alot of things that people are tryna do.
On if Basketball Wives ever asked her to join the show:
No.
