Football More Popular Then King Of Pop, Ratings for Spike Lee’s ‘Michael Jackson: BAD 25’ Disappoint
If you were like me, Thanksgiving evening, you missed part of the football game, because you were glued to your TV, watching Spike Lee’s Michael Jackson: Bad 25. For many Michael Jackson fans, pop culture enthusiasts and music journalists, the film was a hit–giving fans 90 minutes to remember the 25 anniversary of the King of Pop’s BAD album and tour. But according to Popular Critic, a lot of folk were NOT tuned in. The site reports:
The documentary ended up tying with the old Charlie Brown Thanksgiving movie as the lowest rated show in the 18-49 demographic. Even according to the usually low Thanksgiving TV ratings, the 90-minute documentary gave a weak performance. Last year, ABC aired A Very Gaga Thanksgiving which performed much better than Michael Jackson’s tribute.
More than 16 million viewers tuned in to watch New England play New York. Meanwhile, if you missed it, you’ll be able to cop it via DVD/Blue Ray in Feb. 2013.
