Ouch! Russell Simmons Calls Miss Universe Leila Lopes, A Publicity Whore

Wondering what these fire-y tweets below from Russell Simmons mean?

Well early Thursday morning, the following story ran on Page Six, suggesting that Russell Simmons PURPOSELY sent Leila Lopes (who happens to be Miss Universe) flowers, in hopes to make the NFL’er Osi Umenyiora jealous.

Giants defensive end Osi Umenyiora has made a play for Miss Universe Leila Lopes. Umenyiora was seen “hiding out” in the back of Empire Steakhouse with gorgeous Lopes on Monday during a party to say farewell to her title. He may have competition from Russell Simmons, who flirted with Lopes last summer. Simmons didn’t attend the soiree, but sent her flowers the next morning.

Contrary to reports, rumor has it that these two casually dated at some point. Regardless, Russell was none too pleased about seeing his name in Page Six and event pointed out that he has a girlfriend. I guess he thinks she planted the story, but who knows? P.S. Did he end it with ‘Love You’? LOL.
