Kanye West Wins Copyright Infringement Lawsuit + Accuser Responds in Exclusive Email

Kanye West can thank the court Gods that he was successful yet again with another lawsuit. Last June, Yeezy was sued by Vincent “Vince P.” Peters who alleged that he produced Kanye’s single, “Stronger” which was off of his Graduation album. Illinois Judge Virginia Kendall dismissed the copyright infringement case against Yeezy. According to the lawsuit, Peters alleges that he shared the track with John Monopoly, Yeezy’s longtime business associate, who later played the track for Kanye. Source
In an exclusive email from Vince P to The Jasmine Brand, he shared: “The case was actually dismissed without prejudice, we have a valid claim just need to reargue some points. If it was dismissed with prejudice it would be over with, but because it was not it essentially means we have to replead portions of the case and resubmit the filing. Kanye won a small portion of the over all process. Once we respond to the issues that the judge had with our argument it will be right back in the system.”
