In a 30 second clip for CHIME FOR CHANGE, Beyonce (who is a founding committee member, along with Salma Hayek and Frida Gianni), names her mother, Tina Knowles, as the person that she chimes for. In the clip, she explains:

My mother always sees the beauty in every human being.  I think her gift is understanding and helping people get to their best selves.. Her gift is finding the best qualities in every human being. Tina Knowles.
