Neffe On Being Called A ‘Guttersnipe’, Returning To Reality TV
After a recent testy appearance on Iyanla’s Fix My Life, Neffe (real name Neffeteria Pugh) is ready to tell her side of the story. Neffe, who is the sister of Keyshia Cole, appeared on the season premiere with husband Shelby “Soullow” Lowery, as the couple faced multiple issues including overwhelming financial obligations, health troubles and alcohol abuse. During a recent interview, Neffe explains that during the three day taping, she and soon to be ex-husband, Soullow, were actually separated and emotions were high. Peep excerpts from the interview.
On if she abuses her husband:
I did cuss and fuss and fight and argue and all of the above but that was nine years before we even got married so what we going through currently ain’t got nothing to do with what happened nine years ago.
On if appearing on the show was helpful:
Individually it was helpful for me and it helps me identify with some of the things that I actually needed to work on.
On Iyanla calling her a “guttersnipe”:
I’mma receive it how I receive it and I receive it in this nature, in order for one to identify with that you had to have been that yourself.
On if she would return to reality TV:
I do want to go back down that street but when I do, I’ma stand alone with just me and my children. I paid my dues and I deserve that.
