Surprise! Beyoncé & Jay Z Spotted At Tyler Perry’s ‘Madea’s Farewell Tour’
Tyler Perry is gearing up to finally say goodbye to the role that made him famous, as he is currently in the middle of Madea’s Farewell Tour. The latest tour stop, in L.A., brought out some heavy-hitters…none other than Beyoncé and Jay Z.
Tyler Perry has given fans more Madea than they could handle throughout the years, but now he appears to be putting his popular character away for good. With the release of the upcoming film Tyler Perry’s A Madea Family Funeral (March 1, 2019) and the current sold-out Madea’s Farewell Tour, Perry is giving Mabel “Madea” Simmons a proper sendoff.

During a recent tour stop in L.A., it appears that Beyoncé and her husband Jay Z are also fans of Madea, as they surprisingly showed up for the performance and hung out backstage. The A-list couple rarely make highly-publicized appearances these days, with the exception of certain award shows and televised performances, so seeing them show up to Perry’s show was definitely unexpected.
Perry took to Twitter to express his gratitude for Madea’s Farewell Tour being so successful, writing:
“Thank you LA for 6 sold out shows!! You set another record for @Madea there. The only artist to have over 10 thousand people in that theatre in the same day. You’re awesome!”

Meanwhile, Beyoncé posted a few backstage photos from the venue, including a group shot that showed her mother Tina Lawson, as well as members of the show.
