Nick Cannon Fills In For Wendy Williams, Talk Show Host Sends Message About Infidelity Rumors Involving Husband

Wendy Williams still has not returned to her chair on the “Wendy Williams Show,” but she has sent a message to her co-hosts by way of Nick Cannon. The show announced last week Cannon and a list of other celebrities would be guest hosting the show in Williams’ absent via Instagram.

While the exact date Wendy’s supposed to return is a little hazy, due to fracturing her shoulder in 2018 and having complications with Grave Disease. Cannon provided an uplifting update on Monday:

I spoke to Wendy (!), and honestly, she sounded AMAZING, y’all! We jumped on the phone and the first thing she says, ‘Nick Cannon! How you doin’?!’ Honestly I didn’t know what to expect at first, but her spirit was so big it was so amazing.

Cannon also mentioned how he spoke to the entire Williams during this brief phone call. He alluded to Wendy mentioning the reports about her husband alleged infidelity:

You know what was also really awesome? I had a conversation with her and her whole family. She said she wanted to speak as a family unit; her, I talked to Kevin, little Kevin, they said they all good, the love and the passion is still there cause that’s what you need in times like this – is your family sticking together with you.

She said she feels y’all love. She knows there is a lot of questions that haven’t been answered, but as someone who also deals with an autoimmune condition – I was diagnosed with lupus before – and when you go through these things, you never know. It’s day by day. One day you can be strong and the next day, you can’t even get out of bed. She sounded so strong, we was tearing up and everything.

He continued,

There can be negativity out there and she hears the things about people talking about her family unit and what’s going on, and she was like, ‘We don’t want to bring that negative energy when you’re trying to heal.’ And you need your family and friends in moments like this.

To when Wendy could be coming back is not readily clear, but Cannon stated

She said, ‘Have fun, but don’t get too comfortable because I’m coming back.’ Ima say it like this, we gone take that ‘i’ out of illness and add ‘we’ and get wellness.
