New ANTM Winner Gets Vogue Italia Cover!

Only true fashion heads will appreciate this, but the new season of America’s Next Top Model has amped up their prize for the winning model. In previous years, the winner did a nice spread in Seventeen Magazine. This season, the winner will be featured on the cover of Vogue Italia. Vogue Italia is the Italian edition of Vogue magazine. It is the least commercial of all editions of Vogue magazine. In July 2008, they did an “all black” issue featuring all black models and covering articles that spoke to black women in the art and entertainment world. I recall the issue opening up more of a dialogue about flat-out racism in the high-fashion modeling industry. Anywho, I’m excited that ANTM has upped the stakes for the winner…maybe I’ll start watching again ;-)
