Rihanna Accused of Jacking Video Concept + Peep the Side-By-Side Comparisons

Folks are accusing Rihanna of jacking the concept of her latest video, S&M, from famous photographer David LaChapelle. In addition to swag jacking, the controversial video that features whips, latex all things offensive (hell, not to me), has been banned from 11 countries. According to Radar Online, a (nameless) source says that they became aware of the similarities between the two (Rihanna’s video and LaChapelle’s work) when his team who handles his social networking sites (Facebook, twitter, etc.) reported that they were receiving a lot of messages regarding the similarities from her latest video.
It gets a little bit more entertaining…Rihanna’s video features popular blogger Perez Hilton, who also seems to think that Rihanna’s video and
LaChapelle’s work look quite similar. Perez sold Rihanna out quick and tweeted: “The next time you make a David LaChapelle music video you should probably hire David LaChapelle.” (How ironic?)

Peep the side-by-side comparison between LaChapelle’s previous work and screen captures of the Rihanna’s video (directed by Matsoukas) the similarities are indisputable – with nearly identical sets, scenarios, and styling.
