Is Bridesmaids the New Sex & the City? According to the #’s, It Is.

I’ve seen this movie and it should come as no surprise, in the laughing-your-ass-off category, the movie “Bridesmaids” was a hit. And apparently, lots of folks thought so too. The Hollywood Reporter shared that “Bridesmaids” is now the Top Rated-R Female Comedy Ever! The film earned $152.9 million domestically, slightly passing “Sex and the City,” which earned $152.6 million. “Bridesmaids” also earned the distinction of becoming Apatow’s top-grossing film to date, overtaking “Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby” and “Knocked Up.”
