Solange Confirms Police Pulled Out Switchblade, Police Give Their Side of Story
Auntie-to-be, Solange, was caught up in an altercation with the police in Miami Beach over the weekend. As usual, there are 2 sides to the story, making it unclear who was right. Here are both sides.
The MBPD officers involved claim that Solange became unruly with the police, after she was denied access to a club. Officer Juan Sanchez said,
“the whole entire incident was about the fact that she was not allowed in a club. And when she became abusive, she was pulled to the side. There was no mention of a gun.”
But according to Solange that version of the story is untrue. She claims that she had just left one club, holding a giant banana shaped balloon (she was planning on giving it to one of her friend’s children). She and her friends brought the balloon with them to a second club, but the bouncer told them they could not bring it in. They followed his instruction, took the giant banana across the street to deflate it, but were met by a couple police officers who were engaging in casual conversation with them, at first. Suddenly the conversation turned forceful when one of the police officers decided to pull out a switchblade and threaten to pop the balloon himself. He pulled the blade out a second time, this time with the blade pointing at her, and supposedly said, “I don’t find the humor in this anymore.” Solange politely asked what exactly they had done wrong but the police officer refused to answer her question and instead just forcefully demanded her to move across the street. A taxi pulled up a short while later and the officers got in and rode away. Solange called the Miami Beach police station several times in order to report her case and was told,
“to be prepared to be arrested when she came in to report the incident if her story was false.”
Solange is very upset about the way the police treated her. Click HERE to read the tweets she wrote immediately after the altercation. According to E!Online she is currently filing a report and has not yet decided on further legal action. Here is the most recent tweet about the incident.
