Is Drake Too High Maintenance for VIBE? + Peep Drake’s Holy Ghost Dance

We loved the red-head Nicki Minaj on the cover of VIBE‘s February/March 2012 issue. But apparently she was just the last-minute replacement for her label-mate, Drake. Rumor has it that the 25 year old rapper, Aubrey Drake Graham, was VIBE’s first choice for the latest issue, but his high maintenance refusals and requests caused the cover shoot to end on a sour note. VIBE contributor, Lola Ogunnaike, said,

“He was slated to appear on the cover of VIBE magazine to accompany this story [The Dark Side of Aubrey Graham]. But he fouled that up when he arrived more than eight hours late to the shoot and refused to wear any of the wardrobe provided for him. He brought his own clothes, which was mostly Hermès and leather bomber jackets. But it was a shoot about spring fashion. He was going on and on about wearing his leather bomber, and wasn’t letting it go. He said the [female] stylist was too aggressive, that he wasn’t a model and he wasn’t feeling the vibe. He hopped in his SUV and left.”

VIBE ended up with a great cover, either way, thanks to Nicki Minaj. But, do you guys think that this Drake rumor is true; can you believe that the rapper acted so high-maintenance? Anyway, if you still love Drake, despite his diva personality, peep the footage of him performing in New Orleans for his Club Paradise Tour. I’m a fan of the holy ghost dance that seems to be his favorite…
