Moe’-Reality-TV :: New “Hollywood Exes” Show Features Ex-Wives of Eddie Murphy, Will Smith, R. Kelly, Prince and Jose Canseco
Adding yet another show to the reality TV series, VH1 announced the birth of “Hollywood Exes.” The show will join ranks of other similar VH1 reality shows like Basketball Wives, Baseball Wives, Mob Wives, etc. This new show will feature the exes of Eddie Murphy, Will Smith, R. Kelly, Prince and Jose Canseco as cast members. The show’s theme will surround around how these women try to establish a life of their own, outside of the shadow of their famous exes. VH1 says that each of the cast members,
“wants to show the world that they are more than a trophy wife with a pretty face.”
Here’s a little background on the cast.

Nicole Murphy (photographed above): Nicole married Eddie Murphy on March 18, 1993. They had 5 kids together: Bria L. Murphy, 22, Myles Mitchell, 19, Shayne Audra, 17, Zola Ivy, 13, and Bella Zahra, 10. In August of 2005 Nicole filed for a divorce from Murphy for “irreconcilable differences.” The divorce was finalized on April 17, 2006. They were married for 13 years.

Andrea Kelly:
Former back-up dancer of R. Kelly. She got married to the singer in 1996 and after 11 years of marriage, in January of 2009, they decided to call it quits.

Jessica Canseco:
Ex-wife of baseball player Jose Canseco. The couple married on August 27, 1996 and divorced in 1999. They share a daughter names Josiphene Marie.

Sheree Fletcher:
Sheree is the mother of Will Smith’s eldest son, Trey. She married the actor/former rapper in 1992, but the couple divorced in 1995, after a short 3 years.

Mayte Garcia:
In 1996, then 19-year old Mayte married then 37-year old Prince, on Valentine’s Day in Minneapolis. The couple conceived a son, Boy Gregory, but he died shortly after birth, due to Pfeiffer Syndrome, a rare skull defect. In 1998 Prince announced their divorce and on their 3 year anniversary the marriage was annulled. They formally divorced in June 2000.
