Toure vs. Piers Morgan:: Was It OK For Piers Morgan To Interview George Zimmerman’s Brother?
On this past Thursday (March 29th) CNN‘s Piers Morgan had Robert Zimmerman (the brother of George Zimmerman, who shot and killed Trayvon Martin) as a guest on his show. Piers Morgan challenged Zimmerman about his brother’s allegations against Trayvon Martin, but author/journalist/cultural critic, Toure, thinks that Piers Morgan did not do enough. Toure appeared on Piers Morgan’s show the next night (Friday March 30th) and asserted that the interview Piers Morgan did with Zimmerman just made the Trayvon Martin case worse. He made it clear that Robert and George haven’t spoken in years, making Robert an illegitimate source that no other news station would dare interview. But Piers Morgan denied that claim, saying that he believes the brothers talk frequently. Toure, then, accused Piers Morgan of not challenging Zimmerman enough; of not being a good journalist; of letting Zimmerman tell the viewers lies about what happened; and of not being able to understand how serious this situation is, since he’s British and has only been in America for six years. Piers Morgan responded back, by saying that he did challenge Zimmerman like a good journalist; that he does want justice for the Trayvon Martin case; that everything Toure was saying was “rubbish”; and called Toure out for making jokes about Zimmerman via twitter. plan and simple, they can interview who they want, in the end none of it matters because Zimmerman is protected by a BS law, but Toure acts as if he is speaking for all of black America. He was the same one who made light of this with that horrid joke, and now he is made for what? Piers let him do all that talking and then as soon as piers started speaking Toure still interrupted regardless. He acted like a fool and claimed that he “murdered” piers and it was nothing of the sort. Piers has every right to be upset just like the rest of america, and just because he isn’t from the area doesn’t mean they don’t have this type of non-sense in his own country.
So why is this man still free. I have met some really good liars in my life. This man’s stories deviate from the original. First he was on the neighborhood watch and was told by dispatch not to get out of his car. Then the story said that he got out of the car to see what street he was on. (I worked security to work my way through college and I worked neighborhood watch and when it was raining outside I used the high beams and pulled up to the signs… If you been to Oahu you know how some of the streets are impossible to manage) And now he was going to Target. And somehow his family gets stone cold facts that this child said Tonight you are going to die or something to the effect of that. Really I do not see a person to be a threat if they said “Tonight you are going to die or something to the effect of that” And the way this man said everything went down. Now I admit my degree is not in physics or criminal justice… HOWEVER I know how to add two and two. This kid was on top of Zimmerman pounding on him and Zimmerman took out the gun and shot the kid in his chest once… (According to Zimmerman) Now lets look at it from what would happen in real life. If the kid was hitting Zimmerman on the face yes he should have visible scars. Second the kid should have been on his back however eye witnesses says that Zimmerman was kicking the kid on his back ergo the kid had to be on his stomach thus the kid turned and ran. And even looking at his recent history the man had an issue with domestic violence he assaulted a police officer (which he media said that was okay he was afraid WHAT MAN IS NOT AFRAID OF GETTING ARRESTED!!!) and he ignored a TRO filed by he ex GF… If this man has post dramatic stress because of what happened I say clear your mind and your soul go to a clergy and repent!
This guy obviously was on drugs when he saw the piers morgan show. He chose to hear what he wanted to hear peirs defended himself and done a good job fruitcake didnt want to hear it. Thats why i know piers and not fruitcake
I agree with Toure in some sense but Piers should be able to interview whomever he wants, I understand Toure’s frustration but he shouldn’t have bashed Piers he should of just said Robert Zimmerman is unempathetic and a liar.
I think this guy was on drugs. Killing Trayvon Martin is a criminal case. Justice for Trayvon!
