Tami Roman Apologizes To ‘Basketball Wives’ Fans & Kesha on Twitter
After Monday night’s episode aired, Basketball Wives’ Tami Roman received a ton of twitter flack. Some were upset with Tami’s aggressive behavior towards her cast mate Kesha Nichols, while others understood her Tami’s frustration. After the episode aired, Tami tweeted:
I just landed in NYC, but I did catch 2nites episode on the plane. As I said earlier, this was BAD, wrong & immature-I apologize…I’m not proud of my behavior, but I own up to it and face it. I do apologizee 2my family, my friends, my kids & 2 my cast members…The supporters who have been there, I’m sorry I let U down-this was not handled properly & I felt bad THEN and now….I simply ask that U b respectful 2my kids-they R NOT on BBW & do not control my actions on the show. Don’t become what U criticze….I would have blogged this but I wanted 2 address it as soon as I landed. Accept it or not, I acknowledge & apologize to ALL involved.

I feel if someone is truly genuine and sincere with an apology it should be forgiven. On the other hand both ladies have had very a traumatic time growing up. They are still trying to heal from that trauma. One doesn’t understand with the other has been through and I think they should sit down and seriously have a heart to heart….. I remember how “upset” Tami was when Evelyn did T-shirts that said: “You’re a Non-MF—-king Factor” which developed from an altercation the two of them had when Tami learned that “loose” Evelyn had slept with her ex-husband. Tami, Evelyn and Shaunie are ALL enigmas. One minute they behave like humans; the next they’re participating in, or condoning agression from fellow female beasts. It’s totally embarrassing to know that this bafoonery is available for the world to see.

An apology should be accepted when it is genuine. I don’t feel Tami’s is,she apologized to the cast when she behaved that way in front of an executive producer/friend on the show,I doubt if anyone there contested her actions. It is HER friends and HER family who she apologizes to, secondary victims(if at all).Tami never apologizes to the primary victim Kesha Nichols directly, which is an even bigger insult.She can’t even give her proper acknowledgment after literally scolding her as if she was one of her children,then punishes her lack of reaction by taking her purse.
Only thing worse than not apologizing is offering up a half-assed one. Tami needs to understand she is truly wrong for not only her actions but also her not so logical way of defending them. Please don’t ask the world to respect your children when Kesha’s someones daughter too. Tami needs to learn how to be a grown woman who is a mother as well as in the spotlight and quit worrying about her own pain.

Apology not good enough…behavior was so deplorable making amends to Kesha, the cast members and the public will take much more. Many people are calling her behavior childish, I call it evil, it was horrific to watch and will be hard for you to overcome in the eyes of the public. That is “who you are” now and in the foreseeable future, and it is pure ugliness. Hope you find a better way to make this better instead of a half-hearted apology.

I have to admit, I am a fan of BBW but this episode was truely disgraceful. Tami needs to grow up and stop actin like she’s in middle/high school. It really is sad to see someone degrade another person like that. Also upset that none of the other cast members stepped in and stood up for her. And then we ask why there is so much bullying going on in the schools….. and we have grown women depicting these images for our younger viewers. Time to grow up people. Time for our media to take television to things that are positive….
Your apology means nothing because next season you’re going to do it again to the next girl who is too timid or too mature to respond to your foolishness. You cant keep bullying people on national television and then apologize once you see yourself when it airs. By you being a figure on TV representing women, especially black women you have a responsibility to act right.

I do not understand why these women continue to act and treat other women this way. I think they all have forgotten where they came from. I held the utmost respect for Shaunie because of the classiness she displayed while with Shaq. She was beautiful and smart. She held it down! But as I have watched different episodes, I see her in a different light. I would think that she of all people would at least take a stand to eliminate some of the drama the happens on this show. Instead she antigonizes it and allows it to happen. Majority of these women have daughters. Why would you want to portray yourselves as such? If the public is hard on you ladies, imagine how hard they are on the daughters! I dont blame Tami for what happened. Tami just being Tami. But it does come to a point in all our lives where we should want to do better. There’s a verse in the bible that says “you reap what you sew”. Don’t exploit yourself for the mighty dollar. You ladies have had some interesting lives which each one of us can relate to. Show that aspect of yourself. It shouldn’t matter who said what to who. They talked about Jesus and look what he does for us every day! I think all the ladies of BBW need to take a step back and look at all the negativity that surrounds this show. Sooner or later people will get tired of seeing you bully others around. It’s not funny anymore. Please change the image of the show before it ruins the lives of these ladies for good.

I don’t think Tammy was sincere in her apology at all. Last night was the end of what at one point was a semi-good show. Evelyn and Shaunie should be ashamed (esp. Shaunie) for just sitting there and not speaking up to Tammy. Just like Jennifer is right in every way for suing the girl (not young lady) who smacked her Keisha was right for notifying the desk and ultimately the police if necessary. These women are not on this show to be abused by one another and it has gone too far. Keisha didn’t even do or say anything wrong regarding Tammy that was due an apology. She said ” that if she wanted to she could have gone off also, but she didn’t because Tammy was making herself look like more of a fool than she ever could”. That was completely correct and again demonstrated last night. Why do I have to yell when you are doing all the yelling by yourself? As for the pocketbook, Keisha left it on the table and had a right to notify someone when her pocketbook was not only taken but gone through and her sunglasses were used and privacy invaded by going in her phone. If her bag would have remained where she left it on the table in those types of places the attendees would have made sure it found it’s way directly to her front door at her room. Tammy shouldn’t have even touched it, and the fact that Shaunie, Evelyn, and Susie sat and watched all this happen speaks to their caracter as well. Keisha has shown the most maturity out of everyone and I believe that Tammy should be in jeopardy of losing her job at this point. Tammy has taken the mean girl act too far, and just because you are the loudest and the biggest doesn’t make you right.
The person who has to do the apologizing does not get to dictate whether it should be accepted by the person on the receiving end regardless of whether or not it is genuine.
If I made a serious misstep like Tami and I sincerely apologized to the person who was the object of my wrath, it is not my place to say they should accept it because it is genuine but it is my duty to offer it, if I am truly sorry and ashamed of my behavior. And to add to that, I would have no right to be angry at anyone who didn’t want to accept my apology after a display like Tami’s. You wouldn’t expect a mother of a murdered child to easily accept the apology of her child’s killer just because the killer seemed sincere or someone who was raped to easily accept the apology of her rapist just because he is sincere. If neither one of these women accepted the apology nobody would fault them and if they did, it would be a plus. All a person can hope for is that in time they are forgiven (if not on the spot), move forward with their life and never do it again.

Keisha did the right thing by involving the hotel staff. Urban girls like Tami understand the law because they have so many unfortunate experiences on the wrong side of it. She should have let the hotel authorities get her purse and Tami should have been arrested for THEFT. She took the purse and then went through it. Sick. Royce called it as much as I hate to say it.
