Colorado Shooting, Forces Theaters to Ban Costumes + Celebs Tweet Disbelief

After today’s tragic Colorado shooting, AMC Theatres have announced that they will not allow movie-goers to wear costumes inside the theater. In a published letter, they wrote:
“We’re reinforcing our security procedures with our theatre teams, which we cannot discuss in detail for obvious, safety reasons. Local law enforcement agencies, our landlords and their and our local security teams are stepping up nationwide to ensure we provide the safest environment possible for our guests. We couldn’t be more grateful for their collective support”.
CNN shared that James E. Holmes, the man suspected in the shooting, had colored his hair red and told police that he was “the Joker”. As of Friday evening, at least 12 people were killed and 59 were wounded. The 24-year-old man was a recent US history is a neuroscience graduate, who dropped out of his PhD course last month.
