[Photos] Jay-Z & Beyonce Raise $4Million for President Obama Fundraiser

Last week, we learned that Jay-Z and Beyonce were lending their celebrity, throwing a tricked out fundraiser event for the re-election of President Barack Obama. Tuesday, before the evening started, Jay-Z beamed on twitter:

The A-list event went down at Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club, raising reportedly $4million. Around 100 guest were present (tickets ran $40,000) for the exclusive party. While introducing the president, Beyonce told the crowd:
“I can’t tell you how proud we are to host tonight’s event with President Obama. We believe in his vision.”
When President Obama took to the stage, he graciously thanked his hosts.
“To J and B, thank you so much for your friendship. Michelle, Sasha and Malia are mad at me because they aren’t here. Beyoncé couldn’t be a better role model for our daughters because she carries herself with such class and poise and has so much talent. We’ve made history in the past and we’re going to make history in the next seven weeks.”
Obama also said he and Jay-Z have a lot of common.
“Jay know what my life is like. We both have daughters and our wives are more popular than we are. So, you know, we’ve got a little bond there. It’s hard but it’s okay.”
