BET Releases Statement After Altercation at BET Hip Hop Awards + Stephen G. Hill’s Twitter Response

Over the weekend, BET held it’s annual BET Hip Hop Awards at Boisfeuillet Jones Atlanta Civic Center. In addition to an evening full of entertaining performances and tributes, some unfortunate drama popped off behind-the-scenes and after the show. Allegedly, one or two incidents involving camps from Young Jeezy, 50 Cent and Rick Ross, occurred. Sunday morning, BET distributed the following press release.
“BET Networks works very hard to bring the best in entertainment to the city of Atlanta. For the past 7 years BET has celebrated the true art form of Hip Hop. Due to some misjudgment of select attendees, it is unfortunate that certain incidents took place. BET Networks does not condone any type of violence. Local authorities are working to resolve the situation as quickly as possible.”
Meanwhile, Stephen G. Hill sorta-kind responded to the incident on twitter.

The 2012 BET Hip Hop Awards air Tues., Oct. 9, at 8PM EST.
