The Game Drops Controversial Album Cover, With Jesus As A Tatted Gang Member

The Game, real name Jayceon Terrell Taylor, released the cover for his upcoming album on Sunday, and it has raised a bit of controversy. The 32-year-old rapper’s sixth album is entitled “Jesus Piece,” and the cover artwork features a picture of Jesus with a red flag around his mouth. The red flag assumptively represents the Blood gang that Game is a member of. He explained the meaning behind the album, set to drop on December 11^th, to Vibe:

“Jesus Piece gives me an opportunity to speak about situations that people like me who love God but are still street and still wanna remain themselves without going the Pastor Mase route. It gives the opportunity to know that it’s somebody out there that feels them.”

Game is set to marry his fiancé, Tiffany Cambridge, and the two also have an upcoming reality show geared around their wedding. There’s no further explanation to the album cover from The Game as of yet, only retweets of support from fans. In the tweet below, Game compares his album cover to Tupac’s “Makaveli”.
