[UPDATED] Regina King Responds to Malcolm Jamal Warner Break-Up + Source Says She Was Blind-Sided
It’s a sad day in the black love department. Actress Regina King and actor Malcolm Jamal Warner have ended their romantic relationship. The two, who were both popular childhood actors (Regina in 227 and Malcolm in The Cosby Show), dated for over two years. A Source tells US Magazine,
He said he wasn’t feeling it anymore. She’s still very brokenhearted.
In a 2011 interview with Essence, Regina opened up about her actor boyfriend.
Malcolm and I have a lot in common… we’ve both been child actors and were also blessed to be raised by incredible mothers who instilled good values in us. Things are maturing nicely…
Reportedly, the two lived together in LA and Malcolm asked that Regina and her son (from a previous marriage) move out of the home that they share. Ouch.
We wish these two the best! BTW, you can catch Regina starring AND directing on Southland these days.
UPDATED: Either we had this entire thing wrong, or Regina wants us (*raises hand*) to mind our business. On Friday, she responded to reports on twitter, writing:
Hey everybody PLEASE don’t believe everything you read. Me &
@MalcolmJamalWar are good. Life happens. Forward motion. Godspeed
Meanwhile, a source tells US Weekly, quite the contradictory. In fact, they say that she was blind-sided and totally surprised of the break-up.
She thought this would really last for good, they were so close as a family. They knew each other forever and then out of nowhere he dumped her. She’s still confused and hurt and doesn’t know what happened.
