Stylin-On-You-Hoes: Featuring Taraji P. Henson, Brandy, Kourtney Kardashian & Melanie Fiona
If you are a devout fashionista (like myself), you know that this fashion season has been all about different types of prints and patterns. From leopard to stripes to mixed prints, many of our beloved celebrities have been taking a note from the runway and putting a little high fashion pattern personality in their wardrobe. My favorite down-to-earth actress Taraji P. Henson looked sultry in a pair of red and pink leopard print trousers from the Kenzo Spring Collection.
This is not the first time we have seen a look from the eccentric collection. Brandy (minus her head-wrap) recently appeared at a taping for The Wendy Williams Show wearing this turquoise Kenzo leopard-print jacket and shorts ensemble. She strutted in a matching pair of stylish leopard-print strappy heels. However, almost straight out of a of “B***h Stole My Look” segment, Rita Ora was seen rocking the exact same design in an overcoat and long pants. I’m keeping my lips shut on which songstress I think wore the look better, but do you think these ladies shut the scene down or are they both trying a bit too hard? Meanwhile, if you can’t get enough of the current pattern trend, here are a few style snapshots and cheaper alternatives to help you get in on the madness.
How about everyone’s favorite Real Housewife Kandi Burruss? With her much anticipated spin-off The Kandi Factory debuting in a couple of weeks, Kandi rocked the stage in Washington, D.C. this weekend in an original Tags Boutique striped dress. Is it just me or is she sporting a slimmer figure? Maybe that wedding date to Todd is closer than we thought! Ladies, if you want Kandi’s look, try this By Contrast Dress for $49.99.
Kourtney Kardashian, putting some of her expectant sister Kim’s recent fashion choices to shame, was seen wearing a bright BCBG Max Azria jacket and printed Eredappa shorts. If you like this eclectic look, try these $40.00 Lily Zizag Multicolour Print Denim Hot Pants and $36.00 Eva Zip Through Peplum Blazer.
Melanie Fiona wore a button-up, long-sleeved blouse with stonewashed jeans and a brown fedora to the movie screening of ’42’. Stonewashing is a fresh and funky play on different textile designs. For her style, try these Warehouse Acid Wash Supersoft Skinny Jeans for $48.00, Apt. 9 Feather Floppy Hat for $8.00, and Sheer Pleated Pocket Shirt for $22.80. What do you think of this trend? Hate it, love it, or just don’t care?
