No one ever heard of or seen Tracey Edmonds before she married Babyface. This chick seems like she has a motive with every man that she has been with, and doesn’t have a great reputation to boot…if you know what I’m sayin. I always felt bad for Babyface because it appeared that he was truly in love and she on the other hand looked like she was playing a part to get what she wanted (a NAME, fame & fortune). So I guess she is good at what she does cause she knows how to capitalize…from Babyface, to Eddie Murphy, to this one–that one & now Deion. In the words of Kanye West….”I ain’t sayin she a Goldigger but she ain’t messin with no broke…” (lol). Just putting in my two cents…not a fan, at all. She and Deion deserve each other. Good luck until the next one!
Sigh, re: the previous poster’s comment-
This flawed line of thinking is as limited as it is damaging. Um…. Tracy Edmonds has BEEN a business woman. Have you heard of Soul Food? Both the critically acclaimed movie and the show were produced by Tracy. She’s also BEEN doing reality shows, such as College Hill, Keyshia Cole’s, Lil Kim’s and DMX’s for over a decade. It’s fair to say that no one heard of her before she married Babyface 25 years ago. But for the past 25 years she’s been steadily creating an empire. There is nothing wrong with maximizing and creating opportunities for your success. In fact, ANY person who has the access to resources typically unavailable to most minorities who neglects to utilize them in order to create opportunities to advance their gifts, talents and intellect needs a head check. Nepotism makes this world go ’round. Or did you not know that generational wealth is typically how money is accumulated, grown and maintained in this country? If she had gotten it from her parents (a’la Paris Hilton or Rev.Run’s girls) rather than her husband that would have been more acceptable? Babyface may have provided the opportunity for Tracy to get in the door but her talent and skill has kept her there! It’s absolutely ludicrous to assert that a talented, hard-working business woman is a gold-digger because she doesn’t choose to live in a man’s shadow. Kimora may have modeled before but built an empire after marrying Russell. Melinda Gates, after Bill. I hate to soap-box before I’ve had an evening sip of Moscato but geesh! I’m tired of hearing Black women called gold-diggers for doing things that lead women of other races to be called smart, enterprising and shrewd businesswomen. AND how is she using Deion by giving him a show on HER network. If anything, she’s helping him get some coins.
LOL –> “I hate to soap-box before I’ve had an evening sip of Moscato but geesh!”
Weeeeeell there you have it. RE: Comment #2
It started with i – Phone and possesses now gone after i
– Pad 2; the reason- insufficient availability. So far,
reactions on the acquisition, as well as to the announcement of the new
business model, happen to be mixed, but only time will inform
whether or not just a revamped version in the massively popular peer-to-peer
website is going to be as successful since its
predecessor. The vulnerability has apparently been fixed since the interview with Russo came about,
and usernames are again safe and secure.
