After 21 years, Janet Hubert  AKA The Original Aunt Viv is ready to end her feud with Will Smith. Janet played Aunt Viv to Will Smith’s character on the ‘Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ for three seasons (1990-1993) before being replaced by Daphne Maxwell Reid. There are conflicting stories as to why she was replaced (she says she was fired, NBC says she violated her contract) but Hubert has been very vocal about her experience resulting in a very public feud between her, Smith and NBC.

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air

In 2011, the entire cast attended a reunion dinner sans Hubert, who told TMZ:

There will never be a reunion … as I will never do anything with an a**hole like Will Smith, he is still an egomaniac and has not grown up. This constant reunion thing will never ever happen in my lifetime unless there is an apology, which he doesn’t know the word.

In a very recent turn of events, Hubert (who slammed Wendy Williams in an open letter days ago) has confessed that she is tired of fighting. In an recent interview she stated:

..we need to heal this. You’ve done some things, you’ve said some things, that were totally untrue and you know that they were untrue. I’ve said some things that I probably should have never said. But you’ve never heard them come from my mouth. Especially the TMZ thing last Christmas; my Mom passed away. So there I was again in the media getting beaten up…and you get tired. I’m tired. Aren’t you tired Will?

When asked is she would do a reunion this time around she stated:

“Absolutely.”

She also talked about Willow and Jaden Smith being children in the public eye:

Karma is a monster. My heart breaks from some of the comments that people make about his children. And for the damage that you may have done to someone else, your children may suffer… for your legacy.

Maybe time does heal all wounds.  Will Smith and other cast members which includes Tatyana Ali of  BET’s Second Generation Wayans have yet to comment. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air ended in 1996.
