Mama Joyce Speaks Out After Kandi Burruss Wedding, Reveals Todd Prenup Drama: He’s a Shark!
Over the weekend, Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker made their love official, jumping the broom in Atlanta. While the Real Housewives of Atlanta reality star is still basking in being Mrs. Todd Tucker, Kandi’s mother, Mama Joyce doesn’t seem to be too thrilled.
If you’ve seen the BRAVO reality show, chances are you may not be too surprised. This season, viewers have watched a strained relationship between Mama Joyce, Kandi and Todd because of her (Mama Joyce’s) disapproval.
After the wedding, Mama Joyce told Too Fab,
I had no reason to bite my tongue. I’m not gonna be the one to stop her from jumping into the fire. I tried, I did all that ahead of time. Too late for me to pull out of it then, not gonna make a fool outta myself!
While admitting that the wedding was “beautiful,” Joyce still didn’t have many positive things to say about Todd.
Long as she’s happy, that’s the one that has to be happy. Doesn’t make no difference if I’m happy or not, she’s the one that has to live with him. I did everything I could do. If she’s jumping in the river with sharks, she’s gonna get chewed up. It’s not about me, whether I’m right or wrong. People show you their best when you’re dating them, so if she’s seeing the best now, the worst is yet to come.
Surprisingly, Mama Joyce says that she made a speech after the ceremony, telling Kandi and attendees:
I said, ‘She looks very happy. I’m happy that she’s happy and I hope that she continues to be happy. I hope she’s always as happy as she was last night.’
So, what’s Mama Joyce’s beef with her newly married son-in-law? Well it appears there was some drama with Todd having issues with the prenup that he was supposed to sign. Mama Joyce explains:
I got a little pissed at the bridegroom the night before this wedding. He kind of held up on signing the prenup and didn’t come to the rehearsal dinner because he didn’t want to sign it. His mom said she didn’t see no reason for him to have to sign because they were in love. He was the one who didn’t have a damn thing, but that’s another story. But from what I understand, he did sign.
Mama Joyce lightly adds:
I can’t wait till you see the wedding pictures … to see how beautiful I was.
The cameras were rolling, filming for Kandi’s wedding special, so we’ll watch this live and in color. Mama Joyce also has plans to write a book as well, where she may share more insight about her life and Kandi’s. P.S. Will things get better between Mama Joyce and Todd?

She’s still talking about how stupid her daughter seems.She didn’t say that but that’s the way she sounds.Give Kandi credit,at least she has a prenuptial.Mama Joyce is disrespectful toward her daughter if she did speak to someone about the wedding the very next day.Mama Joyce shame on you.

If anything, Mama Joyce will be the one to bring strain to their relationship. There’s only so much Todd can probably take before he decides it’s too much. They maybe shouldve waited. IDK if they expedited the wedding for a spin off and another check. But it seems like they shouldve dated longer, went thru counseling, and at least tried to work things out. Relationships dont last when the families dont get along. Someone is always going to be unhappy during the holidays. I wish them the best

Why does Mama Joyce even know that Todd had problems signing the pre-nup? Kandi needs to stop telling her everything. She knows too much of their business.
@Resa@Bobbiedoll…….AMEN! Y’all hit the nail on the head right there. Mama Joyce needs 3 things; therapy, a man & a life of her own. She pretty much layed it out in the last episode that she holds on to Kandi so tight because she has already lost one child. This woman is still grieving in more ways than one and she really needs help. She has to let Kandi go and let her live her life with her new husband in peace. Damn. And Kandi needs to read the bible and see what it means to leave your parent & cleave unto your husband. Time to keep her personal business between her and Todd & not include Mama Joyce. It’ll be interesting to see how this plays out. They need serious prayer.
WHat the hell is she talking about? Can’t wait to ee wedding pictures to see how beautiful she was? She seems to think this is all about her and what she wants. Khandi and Todd are never going to have a life by thenselves. Khandi won’t stop pulling her mom into their relationship. Khandi needs to stop thinking she is disrepsectin her mom by telling her to mind her own business. If she stops speaking to you she will get over it . Moms will need you before you need her. She is a lonely bitter women with too much time on her hands thinking of ways to destroy their marriage.
Talking about she’s not gonna looks like a fool. You already look like one Mama Joyce. You tried to pay someone to set Todd up. You tried to fight one of Kandi’s best friends. She’s just too much. Ugh. I would not be able to take it. She may not like him, but she needs to respect him and their relationship.
You should always listen to your mother, period. We may not like what they say or how they say it, but you only get one mother. She can get another husband, she should be very cautious. I hope Phaedra didn’t do that prenup because her judgement is a bit cloudy..you go mama joyce!!
