More Mama Joyce Drama! Kandi Burruss’ Mom Refused To Speak To Todd During ENTIRE Wedding
Mama Joyce is sticking to her guns. On April 4th, daughter Kandi Burruss and fiancé Todd Tucker tied the knot in a private ceremony in Atlanta. Joyce who has been more than vocal about her dislike for Tucker, attended the ceremony without speaking a word to the groom telling Radar Online,
I didn’t really pay any attention to him, We didn’t talk. It was her decision to make to marry him and she says she’s happy and she didn’t see anything wrong with him so she did it. Time will tell, but I only pray that I’m wrong and that they do last, but I don’t see how they can.
Mama Joyce has been outspoken about her reservations about Tucker and his true intentions with Kandi. During this season of Real Housewives of Atlanta, both Joyce and Todd have gotten into some heated debates with Kandi often acting as the mediator. Last year, during a interview with an Atlanta morning show she explained,
I just don’t feel him. That’s just been a feeling that I had for a long time. I feel like this is a good opportunity for him because most producers when they go from one job to another job, very few take a year off to get their lives together. Now he says he’s working on something right now and sure he is but if he didn’t have her he wouldn’t have this opportunity.
During an appearance on ABC’s ‘The View’ Tucker defended himself stating,
I think everyone has a breaking point…The lies, that stuff is really tough. I have a mom and it affects my mother. It affects my daughter. It affects Kandi’s daughter…

I understand that she has a problem with Todd but she should have left all that drama behind that day for the sake of her daughters happiness at her wedding and just picked up not liking him the next day. Why attend the wedding if your just going to act like that. I have never met a grown woman so petty.
The way this woman is acting you would think Todd was beating Kandi. I don’t see how their marriage will last with this going on. Personally, I think Todd should have given it more time before jumping the broom.
I wish she would stop talking about her daughter.While I’m not Mama Joyce’s fan.I do find it curious that Todd took a year off.I didn’t know that,I guess that would give someone a reason to be curious.Also,It does seem that Kandi doesn’t chose partners that are as financially stable.None of us know how many times at 3:00 am Kandi has called her mom crying about a relationship.I’m not saying that gives her the right to be so opinionated.But,I kind of UNDERSTAND where she’s coming from.Good luck to Mr.And Mrs.Todd Tucker.
He quit his job because it was a conflict of interest for Bravo. The man was making like $90K, that ain’t chump change. He gave up good pay and a comfortable job for her. Joyce ain’t my mama, so JOYCE…sit down somewhere and let these two be happy.
Granted 90 grand a year is nothing to sneeze at.But,the possibility of marrying a millionaire.I think I might jump at that.Marrying her could introduce him to a lifestyle he couldn’t provide for himself.Also,he could be put in a position where he may never have to work again for 90k or whatever.I heard him say because of Bravo.I wanted to hear him really put that on Bravo,he hinted at it.He did say he is contracted out.I could see how that could seem suspect to the average person.That sounds romantic “he quit his job for her”.Yeah,okay.I’m just sayin.lol
Didn’t Kandi say Todd took a year off because he worked for Bravo as a producer and he was dating kandi, so he was told he couldn’t work for Bravo and date Kandi. If I’m not mistaken that’s why he left his Job . she explained this on the reunion. If this is true I don’t get. Mama Joyce reasons about the job…it’s explained.
Agree ^w/Love^. Regardless if Todd took a year or a month, he makes damn good money himself and explained that he had savings to carry himself, so that shouldn’t even be an issue. I’m pretty sure Kandi knows what he’s got & its her choice period! Not her Mama’s. As Love was sayin’, Joyce sit down somewhere! LMAO. She’s looking more & more crazier by the minute. I don’t know how Kandi so candidly brushes it off. Enough already!!!!

OMG!! Can Mama Joyce just let Kandi live her own life? Mama Joyce has fought, ridiculed, disrespected and made a complete fool of herself and it still didn’t stop Kandi from marrying Todd. It’s Kandi’s mistake to make, if their marriage should dissolve. Mama Joyce needs to find herself a man! I know she loves her daughter, but her actions make me wonder if she’s jealous of Kandi and her relationship.
IB juliet you hit the nail on the head! I think she is jealous. She really needs to stop interviewing and speaking on Khandi. She keeps talking so she can drive a wedge between them. Khandi should have really handled that, but if she has been doing this all of khan d’s life then why would she stop now. If mama Joyce wants to walk around all day everyday with that nasty attitude let her she is just blocking her own blessings being that evil.
I dont think she is jealous at all I think she is an overpertective mom, and i agree with her he seems like an opportunist to me, kandi has no, none, sense when it comes to relationships, dude is just using her and able to lay up fo free! lol u go mom, i feel a certain kinda way about him too. ijs! :)

Not taking sides here; but it would be nice to marry ONLY the person you love. But, in reality, you’re marrying all that she’s attached to. So, I have to ask how much is it worth to put up with all that negativity, especially from Mama Joyce, even if you love your mate. Think about it!
