[Candids] KimYe’s Wedding Reception: Photo Booth Fun, Awkward Speeches & Famous Folk

While the ceremony was described as beautiful, KimYe umped the ante for their reception. Here’s the quick and dirty on the reception details.

–> Kim and Kanye left the wedding ceremony, in a horse and carriage.

–> John Legend sang, ‘All of Me‘ during the wedding reception for the couple’s first dance.

–> During John Legend’s reception speech, he told the crowd

To Kim and Kanye. It’s really inspired me to be here. All these wonderful people here – it’s a celebration of your love. I’ve seen Kanye with other women. I’m serious..this is a bad speech….but I have never seen him as in to someone as he is in to you.”

–> A source tells Us Weekly,

It was just the most perfect night. And for all the talk about it being over the top or crazy — it really wasn’t! It was just the most beautifully put together, chic, intimate celebration. I don’t think anyone will forget it.

–> Reception attendees, not previously mentioned, included: Steve McQueen, director of Oscar-winner “12 Years a Slave”; Jaden Smith, the actor and teenage son of Will and Jada Smith; Joe Francis of “Girls Gone Wild” video fame; GOOD music rapper, Common; rapper Mos Def and Jay Z’s former business partner, Dame Dash. 

–> Kanye gave an interestingly entertaining speech at the reception, lasting 20 minutes. A source tells US Weekly, he said:  “They feel like it’s okay to put you on the tabloid covers to sell your image, to use you in an SNL spoof. We don’t negotiate. We’re not like that. We’re not stupid.” A little while later, he added, “The Kardashians are an industry!” Reportedly, he spoke about his and Kim’s inner circle, saying, “We are warriors! There is not one person at this table that has not had to defend us at some point or another….At this table…the combination of powers…can make the world a better place.”

–> The reception featured a very popular pit-stop, the photo booth. Kanye and Kim took tons of photos with guests in the photo booth.

Which means Happily Ever After.

Who was missing in action from the festivities? As previously reported, Jay Z and Beyonce did not attend (click here for the story). Beyonce later posted a congratulatory Instagram message. Kim’s brother, Rob Kardashian left Florence early and was spotted Saturday at LAX. Rapper French Montana, Khloe’s boyfriend, also did not attended. There are conflicting reports as to whether or not he was invited.

It is the first marriage for Kanye, and the third for Kim. Her last marriage, to NBA baller Kris Humphries, in 2011, lasted 72 days. There are conflicting reports as to whether KimYe’s wedding will be on Keeping Up With the Kardashians, or whether or not there will be a separate wedding special. Some reports suggest only parts of the weekend will be featured on E! Cameras were reportedly rolling during most of the weekend. [US Weekly, Associated Press, Instagram]
