[Update] Tracy Morgan’s Condition Improves, Comedian’s Mother Visitation Blocked
It’s a somber moment whenever Tracy Morgan’s name is for spoken for the past few days. The comedian is currently fighting for his life following a serious car accident involving his limo bus and a Walmart truck on the New Jersey Turnpike in Cranbury around 1 a.m. Saturday (June 7), that left one person dead, James “Uncle Jimmy Mack” McNair.
Unfortunately you would think an already tragic moment would band his family together, but it’s only raising more tension. TMZ reported that his estranged mother, Alicia Warden, informed them she was denied access to seeing her son later that Saturday morning. According to her, after finding out on TV of his accident, she rushed to the hospital to be turned away by security and her son’s fiancee Megan Wollover.
Reportedly, she returned the following day and was only given five minutes to visit with him. During that time, she says her son was in a room full.
All I wanted was for our family to be alone with him. I wanted to pray over him and couldn’t do that because so many people were in the room.
It’s no secret the actor and his mother aren’t cordial. He said in a 2012 interview he hadn’t seen Warden in 11 years. The bright side of everything? His condition has upgraded from critical to stable. We’re praying for his well being and future mended relationship with his mother.
