As previously reported, Bobbi is displeased that someone other than herself was casted in the Lifetime movie in development, about her late mother Whitney Houston. When news hit that Yaya Dacosta was casted to play Whitney, BK was quite vocal that she would be a better fit for the role.
During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Angela Bassett was asked about if she considered Bobbi for the role. Angela, who is making her directorial debut for the made for TV movie, responded:
No, I did not think about that. I did not think about casting her. And probably for a number of reasons,

Well, Angela is correct. Idk why Bobbi Kris assumed she would be given the role just because she is Whitney’s daughter. The best person to capture the story should play her. And Bobbi K’s remarks just sound like she knows what Angela said is true. She was on the Tyler Perry show and got fired from that. So what Oscar are you planning on winning girl?
