[VIDEO] Brandy Explains Why She Lied to Oprah, How Kim Kardashian Came Into Ray J’s Life

Brandy: Would ruin my career and everything that I had built. And I’m really sorry for that cause I mean, you just don’t lie to Oprah. [Laughs]

On Social Media And The Younger Generation Of Singers:

Oprah: Don’t you feel for young people today coming up as stars in a world of social media, I think it’s much harder don’t you? Brandy: Oh my God, because the opinions are so in your face. Social media, oh my God, I feel for the young artists today because the people can just type them anything that they want to say, and the negative. I don’t think I would’ve made it in this generation. [Laughs] Oprah: Really? Brandy: As a young teen, I would not have been able to make it in this generation. I don’t think I had it to make it in this generation. Like that strength that you need to really have a sense of self because people just say whatever, and things still affect me now.

On Her Daughter And What’s She Learned About Being A Mom:

Brandy: She’s truly the light of my life. Really special, wise little lady. Yeah, she’s very strong-willed. It’s hard for me, sometimes I want to wring her neck but I have to just give her time and respect that that’s apart of who she is. Oprah: What did having a daughter teach you about yourself? Brandy: I know through my relationship with her that love is truly unconditional.

On Kim Kardashian Being Her Stylist:

Oprah: Is it true that Kim Kardashian was once your stylist? Is that a true story?
