First Lady Michelle Obama Opens White House to Students for Fashion Workshop + Anna Wintour, Jason Wu, Naomi Campbell Lend Expertise
On Wednesday, First Lady Michelle Obama open the White House to student fashionistas for workshops and networking with industry professionals. The ‘Fashion Edu‘ event included workshops, which covered such topics as fashion journalism, construction and wearable technology.
Designers Jason Wu, Lela Rose and Zac Posen and Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour were in attendance, contributing to the overall experience. Also in attendance were Diane Von Furtsenburg and Naomi Campbell.
The first lady told students:
We want you to see firsthand that a solid education and the willingness to work hard is really at the core of what it’s going to take to achieve your goals. Education and hard work. It’s that simple.
