(EXCLUSIVE) Judge Orders Jay Z to Submit Financial Docs in “Big Pimpin” Lawsuit
Then on November 12th, documents were filed by Fahmy in which he accuses Jay Z of attempting to manipulate the suit. He claims that the rapper is refusing to hand over financial documents regarding how much Jay made per concert in which he performed “Big Pimpin”.
Fahmy says that Jay Z is simply making decisions on his own, when a judge has already ordered him to submit the documents. Further, he is demanding that Jay submit over all licensing agreements — such as the one he had with Linkin Park for the remix of “Big Pimpin” and all other songs that have sampled Jay’s song.
He accuses Jay of not handing over the information in an attempt to ruin his ability to put together his case for the trial and is demanding he be sanctioned monetarily for his behavior in the case.
On November 24th, the federal court judge came back and sided with Fahmy. The judge ordered Jay Z and Timbaland to hand over all financial records of the money they made per concert where Big Pimpin was performed.
Further, the court ordered the rappers to hand over all license agreements where they allowed others to use “Big Pimpin” to be sampled from 1998-2001. See the exclusive court docs.
