(EXCLUSIVE) 50 Cent’s $17 Million Lawsuit With Sleek Audio Heats Up
The court docs show the notice sent to the rapper stating that all accounts he has at Signature Bank have been frozen. Further, it states if he deposits any cash until the accounts he will not have access to it.
Sleek Audio sent off subpenas to Signature Bank demanding they send back all info on how much money the rapper has in his accounts at the bank. Further, they want to know if 50 has any safety deposit boxes or any collateral that 50 used to take out loans or open lines of credit.
Then on December 4th, Sleek Audio blasted 50’s claim the legal battle is still being appealed in Florida Court. They state they have every right to start collecting on the $17 million he owes to them.
In the court documents, they explain that 50 Cent lost the legal battle on October 17th in Palm Beach County Court. Further, they say that he had 15 days to file a motion for a rehearing or contest the judgement.
However, the headphone company says 50 didn’t file any motions for a rehearing in the case. They say he filed docs to appeal the decision on October 29th … however, there is NO order forcing them to cease the collect on the millions they are owed immediately –thus why they froze his bank accounts already.
Sleek Audio also says that the Florida Court would only allow 50 Cent to appeal the decision by putting up a bond of the $17 million judgement plus 2 years interest on that amount for the court.
The headphone company also filed docs showing they have sent off garnishments to Fidelity Brokerage Services LLC , where they demanded all assets and investments. The brokerage firm is used by many to plan for their retirement along with invest in stocks and bonds, which means the rapper’s retirement funds has the potential to be seized.
