K.Michelle Fesses Up About Relationship With Idris Elba: We were together for 8 months. [VIDEO]
She’s an open book, so it’s no surprise that K.Michelle is finally spilling ALL of the tea, concerning her relationship with heart-throb, Idris Elba. It’s no secret, something romantic went down between K.Michelle and the actor and while she’s noted that he’s served as inspiration for her musically, she’s tap-danced at times about just how deep their involvement was. In a previous interview she did say allude to sorta-kinda being a side-chick unknowingly and now, there’s even more spillage she’s serving.
In an interview with Power 105’s The Breakfast Club, she gets a bit more specific about her love affair with Idris.
The Breakfast Club: Is this album about Idris Elba?
K.Michelle: Yeah, I’m not gon’ sit up here and lie.
The Breakfast Club: Did this breakup Idris’ home because he had a baby?
K.Michelle: I don’t…no…He’s not married. And umm, like I said to him, I sent him these records before they came out. He said, ‘This is art. I hate that we at this place, but this is art’. It’s no hate for Idris. He actually was a good man and my thing is, you have to go raise your child. And what I’m not gonna do is get in the way of that. I’m not in the way of his baby mother and his family right now.
The Breakfast Club: So that’s why it didn’t work out?
