Memphitz on Separation From Toya Wright: I love my wife, but I’m starting to love myself a little bit more. [VIDEO]
From what we’re told, marriage ain’t easy. And being married in the celebrity world is often said to be even more challenging. As you know, one of the latest celebrity splits involve Toya Wright (the ex-wife of Lil Wayne) and former music producer Memphitz.
Earlier this week, Toya confirmed their separation in an interview, explaining that she has no interest in divorce and is fighting for her marriage. And now, Memphitz is publicly speaking about why he feels their marriage has crumbled.
In an interview with Sister 2 Sister, he confirms their separation:
I’m definitely separated from my wife. I love my wife. Don’t get me wrong. Nothing has changed as far as the love. There’s no love deficiency…It’s just the fact that I’m staring to love myself a little bit more.
Memphitz says that before Toya he never wanted to get married. He also states that he gave up a lot of his life for his marriage:
And when I say that, I mean it as I don’t think a lot of people know that I gave up a lot for my life. A lot of my life for my wife. Of course when I met my wife, we fell in love and we were friends first….But at the same time.
