San Diego Padres’ Matt Kemp Talks Love For Fashion
These days, Matt Kemp is known for more than just the work he exhibits on the field, as a baseball outfielder for the San Diego Padres. The 30-year-old Oklahoma-bred player (whose been linked romantically with the likes of Rihanna and Khloe Kardashian) was drafted in 2003 and has a thing for fashion off the field. So much so that he’s snagged campaigns with GAP and Oakley, and is becoming one of the more fashionable athletes in the industry.
In a recent interview with Sporting News, Matt dishes on his fashion perspective; a few of his favorite brands and if his move from Hollywood to San Diego has changed his personal style. Peep a few excerpts.
On his style philosophy:
Matt Kemp: For me, less is better; a little subtle. I just try to put the right things together. I don’t try too hard … like trying to go with the bright colors.
On his go-to designer for suits:
MK: I love Calvin Klein; that’s one of my favorite designers for suits. I actually just bought 12 new suits from them. I also have a couple of Tom Ford suits that I love.
